The Super Girl from Krypton Part One: Alone

" I am alone..."  are the first words you read from the amazing and dramatic internal monologue written by Jeph Loeb. This comic book series focuses on Superman and of course Super Girl. In the story as a whole the beginning explains how Superman's cousin was also sent to Earth along with Superman but her rocket is stuck at the bottom of Gotham Bay which Batman discovers in a previous series ( I believe Superman/ Batman #6). Batman keeps this hidden from Superman by having him at desk duty in the Bat Cave.
I won't go much further into the actual story-line in case anyone out there is interested in the series. It was recently turned into a movie ( most of you should be able to find at Blockbusters)
(Click here if you would like to see a trailer to the movie).Movie Trailer

The artwork by Michael Turner and coloring by Peter Steigerwald is absolutely stunning! I was seriously blown away by the pictures at partnered the story line. The details and vivid colors really caught my eye. Honestly  it's one of the main reason I love this series.

As Superman is stopping Kara's rocket from crashing into Gotham City. Batman contains  Kara by using Kryptontie. Some of my favorite internal monologue comes in from Batman when it comes to   his respect for Superman as a superhero with lines like:
" And in a single moment he shows us again why he sets the standards for so many."
"There are those who think of him as outdated, the " boy scout" whipped by his selflessness"

I love this series. I only have three at the moment (which I will review the other two later) but I love the combinations of writer artist and colorist used to create this storyline.
I have looked on both Ebay and Amazon for parts to completer my series and you can find them there (simply type in Superman/Batman #8 and it continues through 13)

At the end of #8 Superman is happy to know that he isn't as alone as he thought thanks to Kara.

      I GIVE THIS A 10 OUT OF 10
(not because my opinion matters... but because I fuckin can)

I love the story of Superman and his loneliness, Kara and her having to  adopt to a completely new environment, and Batman truly just wanting to protect his Friend. In total I'm missing three from my set.

Until next time
Thanks for reading

25 Days of X-Mas: Day 2 The Koopa Who Stole Cave Christmas

"JINGLE BELLS KOOPA SMELLS YOSHIE LAID AN EGG

Welcome back and happy holidays from Nerdy Juggalos Anonymous. Its day 2 in our "25 Days of X-Mas special" and I found some Freshness for your eyeballs in the form of 2 plumber that will literary go though the worst Shit just to get the girl. Yes I am talking about The Super Mario Bros, One of my all time favorite Video Games and Cartoons from back in the day. In this episode of The Super Mario World Show, Mario is in Caveman land  about to munch on some BBQ Mammoth Ribs with his homies, but Oogtar the Cave kid is just a little bit to angry to eat. It turns out the whole village is Pissed off, So Mario comes up with a way to stop the madness in "The Night Before Cave Christmas"

I have always loved how they used the music and sounds from the game in this show. even the cheesy cover song for Jingle Bell Rock that in this episode is fucking awesome. When i was a kid you either had a Nintendo or Sega and I was a Nintendo kid all the way. I remember (just like most nerds) getting my first N64 on Christmas and playing Super Mario 64 till my thumb started to cramp up from the controller (at least for me it was like that). But nowadays even with a Wii that has Donkey Kong and some other old games on it; I still find myself looking for those dusty cartage's to stick in that old NES from way back so I can beat King Koopa one last time and save Princess Peach.

25 Days of X-Mas Shit: Day 1

Ho Ho Ho and Jingle my Hairy Balls. Its fucking X-Mas Season and you know what that means....moldy fruitcakes from people you don't care about, Lottery tickets from Uncle Ted that are never winners, dirty looks from across the dinner table and stuff you don't need but get anyway just because it was on sale. But lets not forget the best part of the X-Mas holiday and that is the Craptoons. For the next 25 days starting today i will be posting X-Mas related Cartoons. Some will be favorites that we all know and love and some might be completely new. So lets start with a olden Goldie entitled "Christmas Comes but Once a Year" that I use to watch on a VHS that had 3 Hours of  X-Mas Craptoons on it.

Tell me what you think and come back tomorrow to check out more holiday Craptoons.
Also I will be doing a review on the Comic book "Freddy VS Jason VS The Army of Darkness"

Whats your Favorite Cereal Killer Review

I won the Prize Pack featured in this review through a contest help by AllHallowSteve (link will be below if you wanna check out his page)  for Halloween. It was the last giveaway for Halloween is this and out the 18 others that entered the contests by commenting "what their favorite cereal killer card was" My name was pick at random using a online generator. Anyway, I recieved in my Prize Package:
1 unopened Hobby Box (Which includes 24 packs of stickers with 5 stickers per pack = thats 120 stickers)
1 unopened 3 box set (Each box includes 20 cards, 1 Premium, and Eye-ball Gum)
1 opened Series 2 Sticker pack
2 Promotional Posters

From my Hobby Box I was able to complete two decks of stickers (55 cards to complete a series)
and with my 3 box set I almost have enough to complete two sets. I will be buying more not only from the 1st series but also the 2nd series.

Premium cards included:
Black-Light Stickers
Magnets
Temp Tattoos
Gold Foil Cards
Silver Spoon Cards
and Original Sketch Cards

I received  in total for Premium:
2 Black- Light Stickers
1 Magnet
1 Temp Tattoo
3 Silver Spoons

The packaging is simply amazing and I will admit I got a nostalgic feeling when I opened those little boxes. They even have 'very helpful and useful' Nutrition Facts on the side of the box.
The artwork is fucking phenomenal. I have never seen some of my favorite breakfast cereal characters like this....
Snap, Pop, and Crackle go Post- dead and Psycho
Tony the Tiger turns into a two-headed freek
Trix Rabbit went Hex and cursed the whole damn bowl of cereal
Captain Crunch turned into a Zombie and now he needs Brains and Blood to survive
Even the black and white cards and stickers are so vivid and detailed

I believe if you got the extra 45 this month to spend and are looking for something new to collect and have a thing for either cereal or horror films or both its worth the buy plus you can't bet BUY ONE GET ONE FREE.  (Stocking Stuffer, or maybe hand them out next Halloween).
So  Before I put get to the pictures I would like to say that I am in love with this Card Series!

Also Joe Simko, the artist that creator these cards is also working on a new installment for the 80's Classic Garbage Pail Kids Cards and I am personally very fuckin excited for it to be released!
